Proud Arsenal Fan

I have never been more proud to be an Arsenal fan than I was yesterday. Once the dust had settled on Sundays game, I sat down to watch the highlights on MOTD which I normally do if we either win or draw. It was a breath of fresh air to see an Arsenal team to go Chelsea and put in a performance like we did yesterday.
We were fighting for every first and second ball, we played with passion and pride and we gritted out a entertaining 0-0 draw. We were organised and we played like a team that wanted to play for the badge. I can’t help but think the absence of Ozil yesterday is in fact a good thing with Ramsey and Xhaka partnership looking promising. Ramsey sitting in the midfield and protecting the back 3 and Xhaka tidying, you can’t help but feel we could be on to a good thing. We also can’t forget Iwobi and Welbeck who supported the front line and did their defence duties as well.
We had to show respect to Chelsea as they are the champions. But we have finally proved that we can defend when we need to and we need to do this against teams like Brighton, Huddersfield and other mid tables teams as 3 points against them are just as important.
So looking on to next weeks game we are at home to WBA and it won’t be a surprise to see how they will start. They will look to defend and hopefully get a goal on the counter. So I think tactically we should line up the same way (depending on Welbecks injury) as it was a huge boost for the fans and players confidence to play the way we did and I hope that we can keep the momentum going.
