Premier League: Arsenal vs Bournemouth – Game Review & Ratings

So finally after keeping all the negativity aside , we played our usual football and totally dominated our first game after international break and beat Bournemouth 3-0 at home.

It was a very convincing performance, we started the game beautifully and were in full control.

We Scored the first goal through Danny Welbeck after some brilliant play and good assist by our bosnian boss Kolasinac. Then a very good play between Ozil-Welbeck- Lacazette lead to the second goal which was beautifully finished by Lacazette & then in the 2nd half welbeck finished expertly for the third after a tidy ball from Ramsey, since then we took the foot off a little as the game was already won.

Our midfield was tidy thanks to Ramsey , Ozil , Xhaka who all had a great game & controlled the tempo from the middle of the park. Defence looked solid & a little tactical change where we put Mustafi in the centre of back three caught my eye, it was a needed change considering our right Centre half was struggling in past few games so management put our most reliable defender Koscielny there.

All the players were playing in their preferred position, so that was a plus too. Everything was right on the day, be it tactically or the players attitude. On to the ratings :

FIRST ELEVEN :

Petr Cech – 7

Hardly had anything to do for most part of the game but made a crucial save later on to keep his clean sheet intact.

Koscielny – 7

Back to His usual self, looked solid. Passing was good , was always available for the players in midfield. Intercepted & defended well.

Mustafi – 7.5

Our best defender on the day, looked to have come away from that speculation. He was dominating in that defence, made all sorts of clearances & made some crucial interceptions.

Monreal – 7

Good performance by another of our reliable player, hardly any mistakes. Defended well & looked tidy.

Bellerin – 7

After some bad performances , looked like the hector bellerin we all want to see. Attacked well when needed & never exposed his team defensively. Good performance & now needs to build on that.

Xhaka – 7

Had a really good game, can’t fault anything in that performance. Looked neat on the ball, controlled the tempo from midfield. Helped his defence when needed , some good interceptions & breakup play. We need this xhaka week in week out.

Ramsey – 8

Looked very sharp, kept running & was always available in the midfield. Assisted the 3rd goal & made some dangerous runs into the box. Should have scored with one chance, but a very convincing performance.

Kolasinac – 8

Assisted the first goal & was always a threat on that left flank. Defending was really solid & nobody can go past him easily. Was unlucky not to score also, dominated the whole game.

Özil – 8

It was brilliant game by Ozil even though he didn’t assist or scored. Always looked dangerous with ball, created a lot. His ball for the 2nd was crucial. Defended when needed, we should have finished some of his chances.

Welbeck – 9 ( MOTM)

Man of the match for us in that game. Scored two & assisted one , was involved in every goal.

Totally dominated the opposition offensively and was everywhere. Tracked back when needed & was a constant threat throughout the game.

Lacazette – 8

He looked sharp & dangerous. Scored the 2nd with a tidy finish and could have had more. He doesn’t need many chances to score. 50 million pounds well spent.

SUBSTITUTES:

Coquelin – 6

Came on for Ramsey & looked sharp. Could have scored after a good shot. But sadly, he had to come off later as he pulled his hamstring & we finished the game with 10 men. Get well soon.

Giroud – 6

Looked a threat upfront with his hold up play & physicality. Certainly deserves a start in midweek.

Alexis – 6

Looked good after coming on , could have had a goal had he been more incisive. Took some shots , he needs to start more games now.

Thats all from my review & ratings. I hope you liked it . Thank you for reading. Your comments are all welcome. Happy Gooners!🙌
